Ulas Kaplan: A microdevelopmental approach to moral motivation and daily well-being @ CREATE Lab, 196 Mercer St., 8th Floor

09/12/2013 1:30 am – 09/12/2013 3:00 am A microdevelopmental approach to moral motivation and daily well-being Dr. Ulas Kaplan This presentation will provide insights from two different research projects that I have been developing: (a) microdevelopment of moral motivation through real-time cognition-emotion interactions; and (b) microdevelopment of daily well-being and psychophysiological (heart-rhythm) coherence through mental imagery practice. These projects are connected through a common foundation based on (1) a developmental view of real-time human adaptation, learning, and motivation; (2) the Dynamic Systems perspective of development; and (3) a view of the human mind and cognition as inherently motivated and continuously emotional.
